Art for Children (ages 6-11) - Monday

Ages: 6-11
Cost: $75 (includes materials)
Mondays - January 27 - March 3 (6 weeks)
Time: 4:30pm - 6:00pm
Classroom: APSU Art + Design Building, Room 109
Instructor: Rachel Qualls
Class Max: 12 Students

Each session will explore a range of art-making materials and techniques. Students will create their own sketchbooks to fill with ideas, experimentation of materials, and artist statements about their completed projects. Experimentation of media and techniques is welcome, as the classes are designed to spark creativity and build confidence.

Rachel graduated from Austin Peay State University in May of 2017 with a degree in Art Education and a minor in English. With these two interests, most of the art she creates has a strong connection to literature. As an educator, she hopes to inspire students to experiment with media and create what they love. She also hopes to inspire confidence and creativity in her students.

CSA Child Safety Policy:
Parents are asked to drop off and pick up their minor children (under age 18) in person at the classroom door. CSA instructors cannot allow minors to exit the building alone or to leave with a non-parent/guardian, unless the instructor has been notified in writing prior to class. If your child will be driving to class without an adult, please notify the instructor in writing. Thank you for your cooperation.
