Virtual Creative Writing Basics Class In Creative Writing, students will be able to engage in writing for art and personal expression. Students may choose to write nonfiction essays, fictional stories, or poems. You will have an opportunity to share your work by reading it aloud and to receive feedback from other writers. Students will be given writing prompts and tips on how to make your work engaging on social media and/or prepare the work for publication. No previous creative writing experience is necessary. Open to both beginning and advanced writers. Open to high school students and adult learners.
This is not a grammar course, and students should have an understanding of English language and usage. This course is for creative writing development. If you have a manuscript-in-progress, bring it with you to the first class. If requested, students can receive critical feedback about how to improve your writing.
