Dance: Ballet I (Ages 6-10) Spring 2021

Days of Week: Tuesdays and Thursdays
Spring 2021: February 2 - April 29 (12 weeks)
(No classes March 8 – 13)
Times: 5:15-6:15pm (1 hour, twice a week)
Location: Trahern Bld, Room 413
Instructor: Eboné Amos

This class meets 1 hour twice a week for twelve weeks.
Beg/Intermediate levels are where we begin to incorporate the basic movements and steps into combinations, developing into stronger dancers. At this level we also focus on dancer health, dance history and beginning choreography.

What to wear: leotard, pink or skin tone dance tights, ballet slippers, hair pulled away from face (bun or headband)

Eboné Camille Amos is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Dance in the Dept. of Theatre and Dance at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, TN where her pedagogical focus is on Afro-aesthetics within contemporary dance techniques, dance history, improvisation (the embodiment of culture) and multidisciplinary approaches in dance composition and solo practices. She received a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Dance Education from the University of Memphis and a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Dance: Performance and Choreography at the Florida State University. www.eboneamos.com

CSA Child Safety Policy:
Parents are asked to drop off and pick up their minor children (under age 18) in person at the classroom door. CSA instructors cannot allow minors to exit the building alone or to leave with a non-parent/guardian, unless the instructor has been notified in writing prior to class. If your child will be driving to class without an adult, please notify the instructor in writing. Thank you for your cooperation.
