Community and Mental Health Nursing Specialty Intensive - 7/6/26

Already thinking seriously about nursing? Ready to go beyond the basics?

Nursing Specialty Intensive Days are designed for rising high school juniors, seniors and incoming college freshmen who want a closer look at specific areas of nursing practice. This one-day experience focuses on Community and Mental Health nursing.

You’ll work alongside APSU nursing faculty and current students while engaging in hands-on learning inside our simulation labs. Using high-fidelity manikins and live patient actors, you’ll step into the role of a nurse and see what it is like to be a Community or Mental Health nurse.

This program is made possible through support from the Clarksville-Montgomery County Community Health Foundation, helping expand access to hands-on nursing experiences for students across the region.

Eligibility

Attend school in Cheatham, Dickson, Houston, Montgomery (including Fort Campbell), Robertson, and Stewart counties only
Will have completed the 10th, 11th, or 12th grade by end of 2025-2026 school year
