Music: Music for Children (Ages 6-9)

Ages: 6-9 yrs
Cost: $35 for all six classes
Wednesday, January 29 - March 5 (6 weeks)
Times: 5:30-6:30pm
Location: Music and Mass Communication Building, room 147

This class meets for 1 hr once a week for 6 weeks

Music for Children (ages 6-9) will help to develop a strong foundation in music notation for students interested in beginning private music lessons. Students will learn the basics of reading rhythm, pitch, dynamics, and begin to navigate the staff. Skills will ve embodied through active participation in song, dance, composition, improvisation, movement and insturments. Music for Children will help students improve their musicality and understanding of foundational notation elements and act as a spring board for future music activities, such as choir, band, and private insturment lessons.

Parents are allowed to stay the first class only. Thank you for your cooperation.

CSA Child Safety Policy:
Parents are asked to drop off and pick up their minor children (under age 18) in person at the classroom door. CSA instructors cannot allow minors to exit the building alone or to leave with a non-parent/guardian, unless the instructor has been notified in writing prior to class. If your child will be driving to class without an adult, please notify the instructor in writing. Thank you for your cooperation.
